Brussels greenlights Italy's €191.5 billion COVID-19 recovery plan

The European Commission on Tuesday gave the green light to Italy's €191.5 billion recovery plan, said its president Ursula von der Leyen and Italian Premier Mario Draghi at a joint press conference.

"Today is a day of pride for our country," Draghi said as he shared the news.

Italy, the first European country to be hit by the pandemic, will receive the largest share of the EU's €750 billion recovery package, von der Leyen noted.

but if for example Serbia ca 100 years ago had lots of debts,but after WWII got included in Jugoslavia=not anymore  debt? and Jugoslavia broke up and new Serbia arised again=no debt,balkan war followed=might cause loads of debts?

Something funny (in relation to Magnuses comment about Serbia), when you see Putin and the PM of Serbia, Vucic, Putin is only a little guy where Vucic towers over him.

I had friends in Serbia back when NATO performed its gutless attack, smashing the infrastructure of the country, dumped massive amounts of radioactive junk there for a clear purpose, attack an old Russian ally AND get the air base in Pristina so that NATO could get an air base closer to Russia.

I also noted that the NATO countries got into bed with the Croatian USTASHA and revealed their NAZI sympathies.

I have seen this stuff before long ago, I had personal friends from Serbia who lived in Australia as well as guys who helped defend Serbia against the NATO attack. You can read about the Gospic massacre here. This is where the civil war in old Yugoslavia started.

I have tried to learn some serbocroatian,the name of the language when it still was jugoslavia,tito took that name (means "do it")when in fighting germans in ww2
After war nationalism made them identify with "i am serb and my language is serbian"
Being close to russia influenced them to sometimes use chyrillic alphabet
Croatians to also identify with croatian language,croatian identity
Despite much similarities in their languages
