Future of 4G phones

I am curious as to how many of you have 4G phones in use?

I have a Samsung S5 which I am very satisfied with.

It is considered old, but that is not a problem for me.

I have my service with Veri@on, and my plan costs $33.08 per month.

I forgot how much data it has, but I have never run "out".

And my plan is grandfathered in, so my rate will not go up.

Then I was curious as to when 4G might be phased out.

According to the info here, it will be quite a while.

When will 4G be phased out? Shutdown of 4G networks are not expected for another decade at least. Of course, this all depends on the uptake of 5G connections and whether the technology can thrive without 4G altogether.

Why is it that tornadoes, volcanic explosions, tsunamis are called acts of God.

What about the other days when those events are not occuring?

Wow, that's damn expensive! I pay 9€ (=9.48$) a month for 8GB in Italy...

Magnum

My plan is cheap compared to what many others pay.

5G service costs a minimum of $70 a month.

I have never heard of 8G??

8 GigaBytes of data.
  Whoops! It happens to all of us at one point or another. That's the trouble with so many acronyms or abbreviations that are similar. To keep on topic, the only time I ever needed multiple GB of data was when I was accessing the internet on my computer via Bluetooth or USB (tethered to my cell phone). The 'good' (sarcasm) ole days.   As you can imagine the connection done this way made data transfer quite slow.

Zedd, that's also to expect from very old iPad or Android tablet, to still be restricted by old wifi bandwidth speed and USB 1.0, at least you can charge it at same time using USB, but 80GB tablet memory takes time to transfer things, but once in tablet memory saves bandwidth, instead of lot of streaming and other net access

I have turned on Windows measure how much bandwidth /month and it's only ca 3GB,but I don't stream much, someone constant streaming movies, youtube done any measuring how much GB data /month?

Android version combined with hardware that restricts how much newer android version you can upgrade device to
Apps restricted to android version, but i also tried install some game, too old gpu
