WTF Microsoft?

Got an email from Microsoft dated 27/12/2024 6:35pm, eventually read on the 29th at 10am.

We received your last payment of AUD 109.00 on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 for your Microsoft 365 Personal subscription. Thank you for your payment.
We want to let you know about a change to the amount of your next payment. Unless you cancel two days before Wednesday, January 1, 2025, we'll charge AUD 159.00 including taxes every year to your Visa

Price increase from $109 to $159.
Cancel before 29-12-2024. Gave me 2 1/2 days to cancel.

I remember when MS, Apple et. al. were asked by an Aus Govt enquiry into software prices why prices were so high for the exact same download (not even physical media) and the answer was "because we can".

It's all about the $$$. The more they make, the more they want. Not just limited to Microsoft of course.

That is really putting it rather Mildly really,....

They're also relying on a double standard in relation to junk mail with their e-mail accounts.

They are maintaining that they are fighting junk mail on one hand  BUT  on the other hand they are including a junk message in each and every folder of my account. And replacing them immediately with another one whenever I transfer them to the garbage bin!!!!!

They are so POOR that they have to rely on that additional revenue to meet ends. What a shame.
