Cobalt 60

http://abcnews.go.com/International/mexican-police-find-stolen-truck-radioactive-cargo/story?id=21091737

It's good that it has only a 5 yr. half life, but plenty of people could get sick or worse.

Andy

Sergeant James Dunn: "Ice projectiles." What'll these people think of next? Fruity flavors?
Take care,

Used to service those cancer treatment machines that used cobalt 60.The cobalt was stored is what is called a 'Pig'.. a 3 ft x 4-5 ft solid block of Lead
The basic story was that if the rod (which holds the cobalt) started moving out of the Pig (you do this to change the cobalt).. you run like shyt and don't stop.  :icon_eek:

Guaranteed DEAD if you get uncontrolled exposure ..  ;)

Safety guideline #1 for thieves: if you don’t know what it is, don’t steal it.
Well Microsoft, here’s another nice mess you’ve gotten us into.
