I think everybody has heard enough of this nonsense. When a number of our experienced members has been ignored and the waffle of clapped out old DOS tech never stopped even though many have tried to help, its time to sweep the floor and get rid of the rubbish.  :P

Bad move. Maybe suspend his account, but deleting whole topics?
I was looking forward to more, it was entertaining.

on the other hand, he was ignorant, not willing to read and pretty annoying. That was a huge problem. I think Hutch pulled the emergency brake.

You have to know the facts before you can distort them.

there are a couple drawbacks....

first, it's easy to forget that when we put info into a thread, it becomes a searchable reference for others
when information is deleted, we are doomed to repeat ourselves
we could just put a link to a page - now, we have to type in the info again

second, i was a little bit interested in Will's methods
while i'm sure it wasn't the most efficient database, it may have offered one little technique that was useful
never underestimate a possible source of new ideas

Why not. So send him your mail address and you can privately negotiate with him. I think he'll need help. But you'll have an explain pain, too.

hutch--

The problem was wider than it may appear after I cleaned up the mess. Will originally wanted to plaster his old DOS crap all over the 32 bit forums but I kept moving them into the 16 bit forum. He then started posting in threads not related to his work in the 32 bit forums trying to get attention for his old DOS crap which I again had to move and after a while you get tired of cleaning up deliberate nonsense from someone who had something else in mind other than bothering to learn Win32 assembler.

He was given the hint enough times but he continued to try and post junk all over the place while refusing to make the effort to learn Win32, especially as a number of members had made the effort to try and help him. The problem was he was not interested in reading their responses, he just wanted to keep posting crap. Will now has the opportunity to find a location that better suits what he had in mind but he is not going to do it here, it takes enough time to keep this forum tidy and accessible without having to wade through a pile of junk.
