Mithra..I always forget that one...has been said Christianity was copied after that kinda..Lots in common..Christian explanation is,was that Satan set that up from before to confuse people when Christ came along...Just saying..

There is great wisdom in this, what the atheist, Christian and Satanist have in common is they all believe in something, the Agnostic is honest enough to say "I don't know". Now where you will get some real melting pot PHUN is with the plethora of Indian religious view and the inherent synchretism where they can absorb anything and feed it out as another flavour. The main friction between Muslim and Vedic religions is one of intolerance and exclusivity, the diversity of Indian religions is a good example of tolerance between people of different viewpoints.

I opened up my note and suddenly remembered about this. This is what made Judaism last longer, about 5 century. I think the same goes to all religions. This is the basic foundation and requirement for a religion to exist. It's called, coexist.

farabi, I think your quotes go against the main tide of the Old Testament, and hutch is right. In fact those quotes are mainly there as suggestions for the other guys, when followers of "The Book" are living amongst them. A religion can survive forever the opposite way, via rigorous exclusion, as well as co-existence
