After installing KB3020369 and KB3172605 , the Windows update list appeared in 8 minutes after the first scan. OS = Windows 7 Sp1 64-bit

Speed-wise, no problem with Windows update. But I don't like that in the last weeks I've lost over 8GB of harddisk space, and my registry increased by 50% in size. It seems the Redmond guys want to slow down my Windows 7 ::)

Did you try to use the disk cleanup tool and cleaning the old system restore points?

Hi Erol,
Dustbin was only 1GB, while system restore points is limited to 10GB. That won't help, and it doesn't explain how the registry can grow by 50% for no particular reason. This is Microsoft...
