> To be fair, we don't get (understand?) the comedy at all--but many of the other dramas and movies are so enjoyable we have literally switched our preference entirely.
Our humour in OZ is similar to the UK and we get most of their's but our own can often be good if a little crass to outsiders. Our ABC shows a fair bit of BBC drama and some of it is very good but the supply seems to be running out of puff at the moment. When I am brain dead I wash the detritus out by watching movies from the Video store down the road but most of that has turned to crap as well. I own a bookshelf of DVDs but once I have seen a movie I can remember it for the next 30 years so I generally don't get to watch them again.
Just every so often someone here produces something worth watching, I am into documentaries more than drama but torrain based documentaries appeal to my liking for interesting places. If I ever get around to travelling, it will be to places I want to see, the Grand Canyon, China, some of Russia, Canadian Rockies and especially Alaska (in the summer). I can talk to people anywhere and Sydney is a good place as far as lifestyle.
I have ambitions of travelling to the other end of the electorate of Sydney (Lord Howe Island) as its a truly stunning place, just have to end up with a few more bucks in front and pick the right time of year when there are no so many people there.
