I don't seem to have any problems with the auto-update. Turned off everything I could find, installed a anti-telemetry (spying) app and about all the bastards can learn is how to write better assembler code.

Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.16299.431]

Hi Jochen,

In the past, I hated M$ for its bugs and its monopoly. Now I start feeling pity for their incompetence :icon_redface:

I agree with you. Simply, M$ does not mind the bugs as they are a monopoly. Since they are losing against the smart phone and tablet market, the decision was to continue only with Windows 10 to reduce the development costs.

And if you find how to disable the Edge tabs with images from Grand Canyon and Great Lakes, please let me know. I can't stand those anymore.

I did better, I got rid of Edge altogether. Not simply uninstalled but completely removed!  IE works fine, and doesn't spy on me. Bing does though.

I don't like Edge, but I use various browsers. I have still not solved the new tabs issue, it is irritating. I guess I need to reserve a few hours to investigate it deeper.
