Covid Sux = big time.
Funny enough, I (we) have benefitted from the scam in a big way ($$$ and otherwise).
I put this all down to timing, this time it's 'accidental' good timing.

Add then new generation kids (19 to 27) wanting
to do degrees in Bsc Application Development or
Engineering equivalent (some very needy)
I hear you.. having worked in such scenarios.

I'm fortunate enough to have landed in a good position that involves student lab equip work.
I'm also involved with top-notch research and it's associated departments.

No worries on this side - You should look at furthering your experience world-wide.
Unis are very short of real people...

Apply for every job - Nothing ventured, Nothing gained.
He/She who dares ..wins.

I just packed my bags and went... sorted everything out later.
It all works out, and people worldwide are for the most part, very helpfull.
BTW - I'm 60+.. (Phuck it!!  )

As I became older.  I just focus on the things I can change and ignore the rest. Way happier as a result.

This world does not deserve to be saved. So don't bother trying.

I knew you were only a young fella Van. RE : Uni degrees, its becoming more the case that most are useless as they will not yield any form of employment. The world needs skilled people, tradesmen, people who actually know how to do something useful, not some abstract bullsh*t that has no use in the world.

The "yuppification" of society has produced a generation that cannot do up a nut and bolt but they CAN look it up in their mobile phone. One thing you learn if you own tools is NEVER loan them to a technical illiterate as they are garranteed to PHUK them for you.

An old fashioned approach is if you are going to do something, do it well, make it the best you can do and you have done something that most cannot do, not these sloppy lazy bastards that bumble along doing the bare minimum and expect to get paid for it.

Hello,

The nature on our planet is existing since long time before the appareance of the first human so the world deserves to be saved.

Not all the people are exactly in the same side. It's just that some people dare the fatal conceit to dominate all over the world.

I find interesting the movie Noah. Many times you have to find what things tell between lines. It's not a religion movie, but it is the first time that I find someone exposes one idea about the different human being over the world: one that devastates and consumes everything in its path devoid of morality. The other is also not devoid of human weaknesses.

Without humans, extinction would be more random and more fair than with humans decide hunt predators like wolf's,because they are harmful to their agriculture, hunt other wild animals for sport and meat, less important than their tame cows,sheep's... So oops we hunted wild boars to extinction

No!!!!.
Not only your kids.
The intention is to save everyone. All persons that understand that a sin is worth repenting.
Intention is to save all.

The wrong remains wrong even if everyone does.
The right remains the right even if no one does.
I'd rather be this ambulant metamorphosis than to have that old opinion about everything

I think we may have a slight play on words here, one addresses making the world fit for kids to live in, the other is to save your soul, they are not quite the same thing.

Update: still stuck in proverbial hell. Wish I could do what I want to do. Actually do my 3d printer upgrades I promised myself I would do 1.5 years back = dual extruder, 32-bit board, capricorn tubing, stainless steel print head, auto bed levelling. Then finish my hobby electronics lab, mount the hot air station, focus (the insert 720p camera and mechanical zoom together) the full bench microscope. Make my own liquid flux. Actually start using my pi & raspberry pi's  (pi 3b+, pi 4 8gb, nanopc t4; 2x pi nano's) for something. Then actually creating the esp32 camera array I envisioned with lazer trip wires and motion sensing. Then create my first self made circuit board from scratch that reads 3 phase voltage in real time. Then my own take on a dual optical laser, high resolution 3d scanner. I have all the parts and plans, (flawed as it and what it may be, would it be the fun if there wasn't discoverable flaws?) I have a childish naive nature afterall.
Suffice it to say the latest challenge is something I would not mention erstwhile, it may rip the soul, one of my many modules taught is that which consumes my life essence: MEAN stack development = no human should ever be subjected to this evil abomination
Are you pondering what I'm pondering? It's time to take over the world ! - let's use ASSEMBLY...

Sounds like you are having a ton of fun, 3d printer sounds like it could be useful. I have not gone that route yet as I have not seen a need for one yet but I could be tempted.

Hey Rudi,

I'm busy with this at the moment and can send it your way to play with (you can have it manufactured down there) when it's finished.
I'm making it to replace a lot of scientific equipment electronics in our labs, etc

It's a multipurpose board based on the Intel Max10 FPGA.

- General IO controller with fast and slow lanes
- 4x LVDS lanes for data throughput
- Stackable/Rackable up to 256 cards in an array, Or more if you want.
- Has FPGA/Soft processor/Hard DSP (144x 18bits per chip) capability.
