Stats: windows 10 pro 64-bit.
Have been trying to install this update for months.
It downloads correctly but the install doesn't work.
I must have some setting  set wrong I guess.
Appreciate any help.
Regards,
Jack

Hi,

Well, I had problems with Windows Update early this year.
My symptoms were that Update would display an animated
progress bar that would go to somewhere around 60% done
and stop progressing.  Windows 8.1 if that matters.  And any
update.  (I think, but maybe just Windows Defender updates.)

A Google search found the following suggestion:  Force the
computer to shut down by holding the power button down.
The idea was that Windows would think (?) that it had crashed
and would look for errors to fix when it next booted up.  That
seems to have fixed my immediate problem.

Regards,

Steve N.
