STATS: windows 10 Pro 64-bit
I'm having trouble with this update. It downloads ok and starts the
install ok then I get a message that Microsoft could not complete
the install and then it resets my computer as it was before the bad update.
I have no idea why I am having this error.
NO  message of any kind as to why this problem occurs.
Sure could use some help.

Wish I could help you Jack but I had a look at the kb5005565 notes and it looks like a tangled mess. It sounds like something in your Win10 installation is broken which in turn breaks your update.

Just got my machine back after a few weeks from the repair shop do to a Windows 10 update. Something went wrong as it run out of disk space on drive C.

Normally this works fine as the update is then removed in the way you describe, so check the hard drive where Windows is installed and see if there's enough space (should be above 10G).
