Title: eset shows godevtool as potential threat
Post by: shankle on June 22, 2012, 11:46:32 PM
I'm sure this must be a false positive.
Eset showed this:
  www.godevtool.com/gobug.zip
  www.godevtool.com/gobugall.zip

I had more surprises today. Qeditor in Masm32 no longer works.
Must be some kind of conflict with GoAsm or some foolish thing
I have done.

Jack,

It will be an AV scanner setting that has changed. You may need to tweak them if you want to run development software as the protection levels for the average punter probably will not allow disk read/write and creation of EXE/DLL files.

Thank you Hutch I was sure it was a false positive. Eset will eventually
correct their files

Interesting, those AV programs are becoming more and more aggressive and the result is a lot of false positives.

...or they are becoming more and more crappy and template-behaved
