Drain color ink cartridge

In refilling a Canon color cartridge, I accidentally injected 2 colors into the wrong holes.

I sucked out as much as I could and refilled them.

But the colors are still off.

I printed this color test page about 30 times in order to use up all the color ink.

The ink level has still not gone down.

(Like it's a bottomless pit.)

Any suggestions ?

Thanks,

First time I've heard of someone complaining about ink not being used up fast enough!

If that's one of the foam filled type carts, I'm thinking that you may have to break down and buy new ones to get the colors totally correct again as the contamination could take a VERY long time to work its way out.

Someone asked how the color rendition of the printer test page looked like.

It turned out to be fine which got me to thinking about the printer driver.

It turned out to be the printer driver than Linux uses.

I found a newer version.

The color rendition is fine now.

Excellent.

I've had so many problems with Linux and printing that nothing surprised me.  With as well as the OS works in general, it's amazing what a horrible experience trying to hook up (and get working) a printer is with Linux.

Have you tried Puppy Linux or Tahr Puppy ?

They are excellent.

I found them faster and more stable than Windows.

Because everything is in RAM, it starts very quickly and download speeds are 4X.

But I still use Windows XP on occasion.
