Just happens to be that this recording was made in 1936 which is 81 years ago and as copyright in most jurisdictions expires at 80 years, the recording is now in the public domain. Cleaned up the audio, removed as much noise as I could and equalised it so it sounds OK for a 1936 recording probably recorded on magnetic wire. I know we have some members from both Spain and South America who would probably know the name of Ramon Montoya.

I didn't know him. There are many beautiful songs with the Spanish guitar, one of my favourites is el concierto de Aranjuez. Aranjuez is a location at the south of Madrid, where the kings had its "cottage"

Thanks for the link, excellent piece of music. Ramon Montoya was the most influential Flamenco player of the 20th century and almost all of the later players imitated some of his playing techniques, unusual that you have not heard of him but then you may not follow Flamenco.

Really wonderful playing!

I'm not sure if you fancy something more contemporary.

This link is from a recording of my Prelude n1 Eyes of a Recollection, played by a guitar player called Fabio Zanon:

The link works OK, it was posted by Naxos US.

Eyes of a Recollection: Prelude for Guitar: Eyes of a Recollection.

No copyright issues in this video. It may be a country specific block on Youtube.

I don't like Flamenco, although it is impressive to see how some talented players make "to talk" the guitars.

LordAdef link doesn't work for me neither.

The other great Spanish guitarist is Andre Segovia and I have been collecting his stuff for years.

I thougth that Paco de LucĂa was also considered one of the best guitarist in the world

He certainly was one of the best ever seen but he is much later than Montoya. Sad to say he died a while ago.
