Wiffie is using outlook.com on her windows 7 pro 32-bit puter.
In the last several days it has become all messed up. I don't think
it has been hacked as it seems to be Microsoft that is making
changes to the program. That's all fine but it would have been nice
of them to tell us what they are going to do.....
I am on a 64-bit puter using the same program and have no problems
so far. I'm waiting for the ax to fall.
We have used several email programs and have switched for one reason
or another. I think getting off of Outlook.com might be a good idea.
But where and the hassle of it. Maybe Opera email.

i have been using the same version of thunderbird for some time, now - with no problems

My bone with Outlook is quite different.

I'm still using a computer with WinXP at my winter retreat!!! Since XP it is not supported anymore, I don't get updates for IE and CANNOT have access to my Hotmail account in the usual way with the older version of IE.

I thus have to use Google Chrome to access the "Microsoft" email account.

Whenever you assume something, you risk being wrong half the time.

I had trouble with Thunderbird in the past and stopped using it.
I understand it is becoming a thing of the past. Therefor I hesitate
to use it anymore. My ISP is a crap company (Florida Cable) that is
servicing my Fiber optics system.
Their pop and smtp addresses don't seem to work with any of the
other email programs that I have tried recently.
I feel with the way Microsoft is going and my resistance to windows 8 and 10,
that I will be left in the dark soon. Therefor I want to rid myself of
Outook.com as soon as possible
