I have about a 2 x 2 "transparent square" on my monitor when it is on.

I am thinking either monitor or graphics care issue ?

What do you think ?
Take care,

That comes from the monitor if it is a LCD.
When I sell a monitor I make a prayer for ther is no square.
My resseler doest not take the screen unless it has four or more square.
If there is only one square the customer does not want his screen.
At the end I must sell a new screen and I have a new screen that I cannot sell!

Sounds like the quality is not all that great with LCD monitors.

You may need a new reseller.
What they are doing is not fair.

Andy,

Start with a good one and they tend to last. I have 2 BenQ 24 inch monitors that are about 4 years old and they are faultless. The last one is a 24 inch Asus and it is also perfect.

I use my 32 inch LG TV as a monitor, and it is about 3 years old,and still very good.
I do wonder if there is a concern like the old days when screen savers came into play like a burn in of a static image.

I was given an AOC monitor. Don't know if it is any good.

Andy, try changing the resolution. If the square doesn't move it's the monitor.

Thanks sinsi.

The square does not move.

The monitor is an AOC.

AOC 2036S is a 20" LCD Monitor, with analog D-sub input.

It's a backup computer, so I will be happy with it until I can afford another monitor.

Take care,
