I am thinking about getting a SSD drive.

It currently takes about a minute from cold start to desktop.

I saw this for $30.

Kingston A400 SSD 240GB SATA 3 2.5" Solid State Drive SA400S37/240G

How can I tell if I have room for it?

Will probably have more questions.

Andy,

From your photos you are using a normal desktop can and unless it has a mount for a floppy disk, the only other disk locations are for 3.5 inch hard disks. You can get mounting brackets to put a 2.5 inch drive into a 3.5 slot but just make sure you have a SATA plug on the board and a cable that can reach where you mount the SSD.
