I know many of you guys have been thru many struggles and have come out stronger because of it.

After 30+ yrs of constant neck pain, I had surgery last year.

It eliminated 70% of the pain for which I feel very blessed.

For about 5 years, I have had a difficult time with having to pee 12 to 16 times a day.

My urologist has done his best with meds, surgery, etc.

I do not mind saying, but it is like torture.

Maybe some of you have tried things that I have not?

You may laugh at this but I drink over 3 litres a day of water as well as my normal coffee, orange juice and the like and what goes in one end has to come out the other but its a good technique in that it hoses out all sorts of crap out of you system. If you assist how your body works, it works better. If I have to go out somewhere where there is nowhere to relieve yourself, I drink a bit less.

I agree that it is important to drink a lot of water.

So to make my point, do this experiment.

When you go to bed, set an alarm for 1 hour later.

When the alarm goes off, go to the bathroom even if you do  not have to pee.

Set your alarm for one hour later.

Continue that.

Let me know how you feel in the morning.

Well, I am sure you would feel like a sack of spuds but the genius with drinking a lot of water is your body gets used to the volume and will probably moderate the timing you mention of relieving yourself. Years ago I had a gall bladder that became a problem and the only thing that slowed it down was massive amounts of water. It used to wake me up at about 4am like someone had stuck a knife into me and often would take hours before it settled down.

I had an operation about 10 years ago to remove it but my body was used to large volumes of water so I keep it up and it works OK.

I left out of my post that I have to go to the bathroom 12-14 times per day.

I had TURP surgery and tried every med.

Only thing left is to get a botux injection into my bladder every 6 months.

Well, there is a high percentage chance that doing so would result in my having to use a urinary catheter for the rest of my life.

I do not feel it is worth the risk.
